A Link Between WorldsHello, everyone!

As you may have noticed, it has been a bit of time since our site owner came on and promised some updates. Fortunately, I can inform you that the wait is almost over! I’m Will, a new administrator here. Because of our owner’s busyness, I will be handling most of the site operations and updates and working with the new staff.

New staff? Yes, that is correct! There are three new staff members who have been on the handle for a while and will finally get to show their stuff. I would like to introduce you to Blake, Sarah J. (SJ) and Teddy. The first two are signed up to be content writers and will be communicating with our users. The last chap, Teddy isn’t quite as young as the other two. He’s been an avid player of The Legend of Zelda since the original release. I met him at a gaming convention and when I found out that he has deep passion for the top down Zelda games I told him about Zelda in my Pocket. he was eager to join our project and hopes to write some new walkthrus for old games!

To be honest, it will probably be a short while before a lot of really rich stuff starts showing up here. We plan to redesign the website in the coming month or so which will take some time. We are hoping to have everything ready to go by the time “A Link Between Worlds” is released. We will have some new content up very soon, If you’re interested in helping us out hang tight: we’ll be posting a NEW contact address for you to use soon!

We will also return to covering Zelda related news updates, so keep your eyes peeled!

Skyward Sword LogoApologies for such an extended leave of absence and limited updates, but my school schedule has been particularly hectic this summer and is shaping up to be the same if not worse now that the fall semester has begun. However, I will be doing all I can to make time for ZimP in between the classes, homework, job, relationship and friendships / fraternity that I have going at the present time. But enough of all this about me, and back to the topic at hand: Zelda. So, when I last wrote for ZimP, we discussed the recently revealed new title for the next chapter in the series, Skyward Sword. I will elaborate more on this topic and put it into perspective from a broader view to try and trace the possibilities facing the Zelda series as a whole in the coming years. Let us then proceed to where we have left off in the series with its most recent additions.

First we have Twilight Princess, which came out in late 2006 and seemingly continued the story of the so-called “Child Timeline”, one of the two timelines created at the conclusion of Ocarina of Time in 1998. In this story, we learn that Ganondorf’s attempted coup of the Royal Family of Hyrule failed (largely thanks to the Hero of Time’s warning Princess Zelda and her father of Ganondorf’s coming attack at the end of Ocarina of Time), and he was subsequently arrested, put on trial, and sentenced to death at the infamous Arbiter’s Grounds, home to the relic known as the Mirror of Twilight.
