Many apologies for the lack of updates, but quite frankly, we don’t like fluff, and there’s been no real news for any portable Legend of Zelda games. Until now. The biggest development we’ve seen for quite some time is finally here: More news, images and even some video footage of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D has been released.
First off, I’ll start with the video. For those of you who are too lazy to watch the whole lineup, the “Zelda” segment starts at about 2:31 into the video.
I’ve got to say that, although it’s great to have the footage, five seconds doesn’t really do the game justice. Oh, well. I’m sure we’ll start to see a lot more in the near future. My guess is that Ocarina of Time 3D will be a launch title for the Nintendo 3DS. You’ll also notice that there’s a few new screenshots, as well (four in all).
Finally, we have the Japanese release date for the Nintendo 3DS. It is currently set for February 26th, 2011. That’s really not too far away, and I suspect it’ll deploy stateside around that period. European releases are usually only a few weeks later than their American and Japanese counterparts, so it’ll probably be close together around the board.
*Thanks to Zelda Universe for the news updates!

After quite a few debates for the last 18 or so hours, we can finally announce that it’s official; There will be an Ocarina of Time remake for the 3DS. To the right, you’ll see the final image which we’ve uncovered (though none of these pics are really “special secrets” anymore). However, we must let some of the hopes dwindle a bit; It’s not confirmed that it will be the full version of “Ocarina of Time”. Nintendo is still playing around with it, and using it to test the functionality of the system.

Well, the live feed fell through, but we’ll be adding to this post as news comes in about Nintendo’s top products! Keep refreshing for updates!
The demo is going to be on the show floor, where E3 attendees can play it. The game won’t be released in America until next year.
The Nintendo 3DS was just announced. The system will be fully 3D, and will not require any glasses! It will also have both a motion sensor, as well as a gyro sensor. It’s also going to allow you to take 3D photos, and has two camera lenses on the outer shell, as opposed to the DSi’s one. It will have support for 3D movies. Hello, homebrew! Train your own Dragon, Disney’s Tangled, as well as a few other movies have officially been announced for the 3DS.
Just a quick reminder to all of you who haven’t been paying attention; E3 is coming in less than a week. As some of you may have heard, Nintendo will thankfully be streaming live coverage of the event, so that you can be the first to know (along with all of the other “first-to-knows”) about this year’s upcoming games. Although we decided that Zelda in my Pocket will not be attending by sending a representative, you can expect to see all sorts of immediate news updates, as well as the video stream (if possible) right here on our home page. That’s right… just keep on refreshing!
