To cut to the chase, the price and launch date for the Nintendo 3DS was just announced. The launch date is set for March 27, 2011. The price will be $249. There will be a hefty amount of games released between the launch date and E3, not all of which have been listed. An educated guess would assume that Ocarina of Time 3DS will be included in that window.

I deeply apologize that we’re a bit behind the ball on this update, as we’ve all been focused on improving the website’s appearance and functionality. To get straight to the point, a new trailer for Ocarina of Time 3D has just been leaked, and we’d like to share it with those who have not already viewed it. The video is right below:

I must say that I’m extremely impressed with the visual appearance of the game. It feels so much more bright and crisp, as opposed to the original. This game is looking better and better all the time. I’m just a little wary of the estimated $300 price tag that’s rapidly approaching…

In a Chinese factory a few days ago, one of the workers decided to steal one of the prototype 3DS systems being made there. He (or she) then took it home and took numerous photographs and a video of it. You can see the pictures below.

It was a very gutsy move to do this, and you gotta appreciate it! Thank you, random Chinese factory worker! Now let’s just hope that Nintendo doesn’t bear any resemblance to Apple.1

No ChildrenIt seems that Nintendo’s breakthrough system, the 3DS, is going to be hazardous to children under the age of six. Nintendo’s website provides a warning:

“Vision of children under the age of 6 (is in) the developmental stage. The Nintendo 3DS, including 3-D movies and television, delivers 3-D images with different left and right eye images,” which “has a potential impact on the growth of children’s eyes.”

Apparently, Nintendo also provides a warning for all gamers, stating that users should take breaks every 30 minutes or when they feel sick. The 3DS is also going to come with a slider used to tone the level of depth of the 3D images so it can be decreased or even reduced to 2D for those whose eyes can’t handle the intensity of 3D. It will also come with a parental safety setting which can force the system into 2D mode so it will be safer for younger gamers.

Seems like Nintendo’s thought this system out. Still can’t wait to see the 3DS itself come out!

Link's Awakening ArtworkWoohoo! We have some great news; The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX is to be released on the Nintendo 3DS’s Virtual Console. IN 3D. Yes, that’s right; you’ll soon be playing one of the greatest Legend of Zelda games in a 3-Dimensional world. In only five months, actually. Which leads us to some more news:

We’ve just now found out that the Nintendo 3DS will be released in North America this March. No specific date has been announced yet, but we do know just how close it is until we can play that sucker!

Now there are two thoughts that come into my mind. The first one is “how will they handle the printable photographs?”. I can see a lot coming from this, seeing as you can even take 3D photos on your 3DS. Will they bring back the GameBoy Printer? Probably not, but I imagine that Nintendo has something special in store for our little mouse photographer and his Link’s photo album. The second thought is a little more obvious; when will we see the Oracle Series and The Minish Cap? And let’s not leave it there: If they can make those games 3-Dimensional, they can do that with The Legend of Zelda, the Adventure of Link and A Link to the Past.

Boy, am I ever excited!
