As usual, Nintendo is remaining tight-lipped about the new 3DS system, but it was just made known that “3DS” is not the system’s actual shelf name. Our good friend Mr. Iwata made this statement earlier:

“Since we’ve stated that it will go on sale during the present term, I think the formal name will be made public in the not-so-distant future.” – Satoru Iwata

Other than the fact that it will be Nintendo’s first three-dimensional system, as well as continuing their line of handhelds, we really don’t know anything about the end game for this system. It all seems relatively similar to Zelda Wii, if you ask me.

Feel free to discuss what you think the name should be in our comments section!

Hey, folks! For those of you who’ve never heard of Zelda Wiki.org, you’re really missing out! It’s a comprehensive encyclopedia on the Legend of Zelda series which is completely online and completely changeable! Anyone can register and begin editing the articles!

I, myself, am a member of this site, and I don’t just edit it, I read the articles as well. It’s a great place to go if you want community or to just read up on some Zelda. You may find yourself lost in it; surfing for hours, just reading articles…

I’d recommend taking a look at them at least once.

In addition, don’t forget that we’re still working on the Kakashi game! Don’t think we’ve dropped it or anything ;)

Tingle Working AwayJust a “Wii” (sic/pun) bit of news for you all…

As it turns out, we have been able to confirm the development of the work-in-progress (WIP) title known as Kakashi: The Search for Tingle

Yes, we know that this [image] isn’t really “proof”, but if it was a hoax on our part -as some are claiming-, does anyone really think we’d go that far?

The answer is… ‘yes’. As it would happen to be, Vanpool is not the company behind the development of this game, but Zelda in my Pocket is. Yes, that’s right; this entire charade was in fact an advertising campaign for ZimP’s upcoming Nintendo DS fan-made title, Kakashi: The Search for Tingle. This was done solely by our team; there were no other people or websites involved with the planning or execution.

Behind the scenes, our staff members have been slaving away in order to get this game moving. I, Alter, on behalf of Zelda in my Pocket would like to personally thank them for their hard work, as well as for helping our site pull off what has arguably been the largest-scale practical joke since the fake Zelda movie that IGN produced back in 2006. 1, 2

We’ll continue to update all of you on our new game, and are hoping that you enjoyed the numerous debates over this topic. Thanks again for visiting Zelda in my Pocket! And Remember; It’s a mini adventure!

1. “You do realize that this is the biggest Zelda hoax in years, right?” – Eldar_Star
2. “If it’s a hoax, then it’s spread amazingly far, especially for one website starting it.” – Neo

Kakashi Concept ArtYes, that’s right, we’ve processed a little more information about the new Tingle game.

In light of some of the community reception, let me be clear: We’re not trying to hoard information, and keep news from everyone else. We simply want to ensure that this is legit information before we announce it to the world. Also, it seems as though some people are beginning to doubt the truth of our story, so we thought we’d release “proof”, as Nathan of ZeldaInformer.com seems to want.

The image you’re looking to next to this post? Yeah, that’s right; it’s a piece of Kakashi concept art from the new game. Knock yourselves out.

We’ll be showing off more images over the next few days, and we’d like to give a special thanks to ZeldaUniverse.net for crediting us with the news post.
